17th ISS conference is “Innovation, Catch-up, and sustainable development”

Call for papers
The theme of the 17th ISS conference is “Innovation, Catch-up, and sustainable development”. Scholars of all levels of experience are invited to submit proposals. These could be an extended abstract (800 words) and should include the author’s name, title, affiliation and contact details. Submissions must be made in English. 

Abstract submission: 28 February 2018

Early Bird Registration: 30 April 2018

The Conference is open to submissions that deal with theoretical, methodological, empirical, and policy issues with Innovation, Catch-up, and Sustainable Development. We would like to encourage submissions especially in the following priority areas: 

1. Innovation systems
2. Innovation policy
3. Long term economic development
4. Agent based models of innovation networks
5. On Complexity Economics
6. Innovation and entrepreneurship
7. Science and innovation
8. Heterodox approaches compatible with Neo-Schumpeterian economics
9. Economics of Catch-up by the latecomers
10. Issues in East Asian economies: China, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, etc.
11. Comparative and International analysis of economic growth around the world


In addition, we encourage researchers to offer proposals for special or parallel sessions on diverse topics of contemporary interest and to coordinate paper submissions for these sessions.
